((We'll say that this is set near the end of Season 2, beginning of Season 3. Not exactly going along with the show, of course. )) "Emma, I'm tired," complained a young boy, looking no older than six or seven years old. His brown hair was messy, his face covered with streaks of dirt, and he just looked worn out. The boy plopped down on the jungle ground, holding his now-scruffy teddy bear close to him. "Can't we take a break?" And girl, not much older, stopped in her tracks to look at him. Her blond hair was coming out of her braided pigtails, but she looked to be in the same state as her brother. She let out a small sigh, torn between the need to go on and the need to rest. "I guess we can, Zack," she said in agreement, moving to sit down next to her brother. Emma looked around at their position in the jungle. She had no idea where they were, nor where they were going. The only thing she did know was that she needed to get away from where they had come from. "But we can't rest for long," she told Zack reluctantly. They were both exhausted. She didn't know what time it was, but the sun was high in the sky, making it hot outside. They'd left camp late in the night and had been on the move ever since. Zack looked up at his sister and gave a small nod. He wished that they could just stop and go to sleep. He was so tired... He rested his head against his sister's shoulder. "How much longer?" he asked her tiredly, closing his eyes. Zack was just resting, that's all. He wasn't going to go to sleep. Emma glanced at her brother and leaned her head on top of his, just resting. She could either tell Zack the truth, or she could lie to him. Emma knew that she shouldn't get his hopes up, but if she told him that she didn't have a plan, he would start freaking out. "Not much longer," she told him. The important thing was for them to get away from the people who had taken them away from the other plane crash survivors. They had been told that they'd get to see their mommy some time soon, but it had been weeks and none of those people had shown them their mom. Emma had started to think that they'd been lying. And Zack was too young to really understand what was going on. Neither of the children knew where they were going, or even if there were other people still on the island. Maybe everyone had been rescued. Zack had suggested that maybe they could be rescued if they went back to the beach. Emma hoped so. They both fell asleep there in the jungle, leaning on each other for support. They hadn't meant to, but they were both just so tired. What they didn't know, though, was that they weren't very far away from 'civilization'. There were survivors from the plane crash camped on the beach not more than a mile away. If only they could just get there... ((Open to absolutely anyone who wants to stumble upon the sleeping kiddies. lol.))

((Ta da! Ana's alive again!))
Ana had been trekking in to the jungle to look for food. Ever since she came here she felt unwanted. She felt guilty for shooting Shannon. She couldn't rewind time. She was here, in the jungle, to look for any trees that hadn't been picked clean by other survivors. Most of the survivors had given up on the boars, since they were nowhere to be seen anymore. She sighed and looked up at a tree filled with apples, "An apple tree?" she said aloud. She shrugged and began to climb up it. She wasn't as good a climber as Kate but she had some practice with these situations while she was in the force. Then she saw a branch full off unbruised fresh apples. She smiled to herself and climbed further to stretch her hand out when, "Oh my God!" She looked down and saw 2 little children on the floor resting their heads together. They seemed to be sleeping but Ana wasn't sure. She let out a cry as she fell and clutched on to the branch. Trying to pull herself up she noticed that these children were the same kids that she had seen the day they crashed. She gasped and remembered back to the day when she had saved the girl's life. Suddenly she felt a pain in her hand and she let go. She hit the floor and lay unconcious somewhere near the children.

Zack's eyes burst open when he heard something. Had someone yelled? Was it the people that they were trying to run away from?
He looked around, moving his head off Emma's shoulder. The loss of support made his sister wake up as well. Both of them looked around, groggy and confused, until they saw exactly what had woken them up.
Zack rushed to his feet and ran over to the woman that was lying on the ground. "Hey," he said, shaking her shoulder slightly. "Hey lady, wake up."
Emma came over. "Zack, don't! What if it's one of Them?" she asked, implying that this woman wasn't safe to wake up.
Zack stubbornly shook his head. "No, I remember her!" he said somewhat excitedly. The young boy dropped down to his knees, holding his teddy bear in the crook of his elbow while he tried to shake the woman with his other hand. "She's the one that made you wake up when the plane crashed," he told her, positive that this was the woman.
"Hey lady, wake up!" he said again.
Emma looked on for a moment before she recognized the woman herself. It was the woman who had saved her life! She was still here! Emma didn't know what else to do to help her wake up, though. Was the lady hurt? Was she even alive?

Ana heard voices. She didn't know how long she had been out but her eyes flew open and she saw the kids by her side trying to wake her up. She sat up and felt her head which had a small bump. But on to more important things. When she saw the children she gave a huge smile,
"I'm awake," she pointed out the obvious, "Do you kids remember me?"
She didn't want to pressure them with too many questions at once. She wanted to make sure these children knew she was no threat first.

Zack moved back a little bit when the woman woke up, giving her a bit more room. He smiled back at her when she asked if they remembered who she was. "You helped Emma on the beach," he said with a nod, proving that he really did remember her. This really was the right lady!
Emma smiled as well, glad that the woman hadn't been dead. "Are you okay?" she asked her, not knowing if she was hurt or not. Though, if she was hurt, Emma didn't know what they were going to do about it. They didn't know how to fix cuts or anything.

Ana smiled again and gestured towards her head, "I'm fine, it's just a bump," she paused, "We never got a chance to introduce ourseleves properly. I'm Ana-Lucia."
Already a million questions were surfing through her mind. What had happened to these kids?
"Are you two okay, though?" she asked unsure of what had happened to them.

Emma nodded at Ana-Lucia's question. "We're alright," she answered. They were just tired after running through the jungle all night. She just hoped that the people weren't chasing them. What if they came and took them away again?
"Ms. Klugh told us that she'd let us see our mommy, but she never did," added Zack. That was the thing that had really hurt him the most. The people had promised them their mother but had never went through with it.

Kate had wandered off after gettign fed up with all the talk about Ana shooting Shannon. She hadn't meant to shoot her right?Ana was unsure of who it was, and she must of been scared about the others creeping up and snatching the other survivors.
Kate adjusted her backpack, hearing voices not to far away. And there was Ana and two young children. She approached them, noticing a small bump forming on Ana's forehead. "Hey....you all right?"

"Ms. Klugh told us that she'd let us see our mommy, but she never did,"
Ana stared at them. "Mrs Klugh?" Now she was getting some answers. Before she could question further she heard a voice behind her. It was Kate, "Oh hey, yah I'm fine. I just-" she gestured towards the tree above her, "-Fell from a tree." She glanced at the kids, "Hey, give me a moment to talk to this nice lady, okay? Don't worry, I'll be back. And don't go anywhere." She pulled a friendly face at the children before stealing Kate away to talk privately, "Kate, you've gotta listen to me. These kids, they were with us-the tailie group- on the first day of the crash! You know those 9 people I mentioned that those 'Others' took. Those two were part of them." she looked seriuously in to Kate's eyes, "Kate, these kids have escaped. They know about the others!"

Walking away from the kids, Kate was eager to know what was so important to Ana.Kate listened, glancing back at the kids every couple seconds.Once Ana was done, Kate had this a very bad feeling.Like they were being watched.
"What do they know?" Kate asked anxoiusly awaiting the answers. These 'others', from what she heard had kidnapped most of the tailie survivors. And here where these kids, who had managed to escape.
She studied the kids.It looked like they had been traveling for days.Dirt covered clothing, messy hair, some small cuts and bruises on there faces. She wondered if they remembered where they had came from and what they were doing they.

Both of the children nodded as Ana said that she would be right back. This was someone who could be trusted. Zack, at least, didn't doubt that she'd be right back.
He sat down on the jungle ground and looked over at his sister. "Do you think Miss Ana-Lucia can let us see mommy?" he asked excitedly. He wanted his mom so badly.
Emma looked down at Zack, sitting on her knees next to him. "I don't know," she told him.
"Maybe they have a plane or a boat and then we can go to Los Angeles and tell mommy that we're okay!" continued Zack.
Emma watched her brother talk so excitedly of return to the real world, but she wasn't going to get his hopes up. "Maybe they do," she said with a small smile, knowing it would at least make him happy to continue thinking about some sort of rescue. She wasn't much older than Zack, but she was a bit more realistic.

"What do they know?"
"That's what I was finding out. They mentioned someone called Mrs Klugh..." Ana explained, "Apparantly she said they would see their mom." she muttered the last part. She knew whoever this Klugh woman was she had been lying to these poor children. She clentched her fists. "I've had enough of these 'Others'. I think we should take the kids back to camp, question them a little more and go find these people!"

She nodded at Ana's plan, "Let's just get them out of the jungle first. The 'Others' could be not too far from here.Once we're done questioning them we'll put together a group to go after them." she looked around the jungle, then back toward the kids, who just seemed to be standing there, unaware of their plan. She continued talking, moving slowly toward the children, "I'll get some guns from the hatch, and we'll get whatever else we might need to go after them."

Zack grinned at Emma's response to his question. "And then when we get home we can tell mommy that we're okay and that we got to live in the jungle!" he said excitedly. This all seemed to be one big adventure. He was young and didn't understand all the risks that were involved.
Emma gave her little brother a smile. "Yeah, that'll be fun," she told him. She desperately didn't want to make Zack get his hopes up, but there was nothing else she could think of to make him feel better. "Maybe they'll even make a movie about the plane crash. Or a TV show," she added.
Zack's eyes went wide with excitement. "Oh yeah! That'd be cool!" he exclaimed.
He turned and saw the new lady starting to walk back toward them. Zack decided that it would be a good time to ask about that boat. But he was suddenly very shy and didn't want to say anything. He turned back to his sister. "You should ask her if they have a boat," he suggested.
Emma looked at his brother for a moment. He could be really talkative sometimes, but when it came to meeting new people he tended to clam up. Which could be the cause for his sudden shyness.
She gave Zack a small nod and looked over at the woman. "My brother wants to know if you have a boat," she said. The idea of rescue was catching on and Emma found herself wishing for a positive answer.

Ana agreed, "You should go to the hatch now and we'll meet you back at the beach," she said as they slowly approached the children again, "But be careful, They could be anywhere!" Ana didn't like what these Others did to these kids. Promised them what they couldn't have. Lied to them and took them away for whatever reason. "My brother wants to know if you have a boat," Ana stared at them for a minute. She glanced at Kate before answering softly, "No...there isn't a boat." she said sadly. How could you say to 2 small children, No, we're not gonna get rescued. Not today, not tomorrow, not any other day. In fact it's most unlikely we'll be rescued in the next month!"She sighed as she recognised they weren't happy about their situation, "Hey, it's okay. I'll take you down to the beach. Kate here," she motioned towards her, "She'll meet us there." She could feel they were anxious,"Don't worry. You can meet everybody there. They're all real friendly. They'll be happy to meet you."
